Jaundice The Yellow Fever
Jaundice is not considered as a disease however it is kind of disease. It is basically yellow color pigmentation over the skin. This is due to hematoidin which is an orange-yellowish pigment that are present in the hemoglobin that gives the yellowish look to the skin. Hematoidin is directly responsible for changing the color of the skin as it depends on how high and low hematoidin level is in the blood. It is generally tested that when the hematoidin is low in blood, than the color of the skin becomes yellow and when hematoidin is high in blood than the color of the skin turns brown.
When hematoidin level declines in blood, the color of the skin, nails and even eyes becomes yellow. The imbalance in hematoidin causes change in skin colors. This usually happens due to malfunction of lever as it is lever that removes the hematoidin from the blood. At the time of jaundice fever the color of the urine changes to yellow like turmeric. If jaundice not treated on time than it can go worse and cost a life. Jaundice is most common disease found in all over the world.
The symptoms of jaundice are slight fever, yellowing of eyes, nails and skin, vomiting, body ache, head ache etc. Most of the jaundice affected people lose their appetite and become weak. Jaundice is also considered as symptom of hepatitis as they are directly related to lever. Jaundice affects the liver that causes digestion problem. In many cases jaundice causes itchiness that make the skin sensitive and soft which becomes painful at the time of body movement. Many people faces sleeping problem at the time of jaundice attack.
Jaundice can be treated properly at the initial stage and can become fatal at later stage. Since it is just a symptom of hepatitis, it can be treated easily. Removing of gallstones, appendix, and tumors can prove as bonus to cure jaundice. In case of high liver damage there is an option called liver transplant that can help removing jaundice. However in case of chronic disease that hampers the normal function of a liver cannot be cured completely and jaundice can reappear. In case of high jaundice attack in infants, blood transfusion is another option that can help a lot. This process includes withdrawal of blood from one side and input of blood from the other side. This process is done with extra care.
Other than normal jaundice, this yellow fever can appear with some other factors as well. Drugs or excess consumption of medication can also cause jaundice. High mg medications contain some strong chemicals that can be hard to digest and they can affect liver. These medications can play some awful roles that are equal to jaundice causing virus. Banana and watermelon are two fruits that can act as a poison to jaundice affected people. However fruits like apple, pomegranate, papaya and sugarcane are ideal for those suffering from jaundice.
Taking good care of health can avoid all kinds of diseases and jaundice is just a small disease or symptom of disease. However we cannot ignore this little devil.
